Lawgik - Terms and Conditions of Service

1. Description of Service

Lawgik is a legal practice management platform that offers case tracking, document management, lawyer collaboration, automated scheduling, and integration with third-party data sources.

2. User Accounts and Eligibility

2.1 Eligibility

You must be a licensed legal professional, employee of a law firm, or otherwise legally authorized to use the Service in connection with legal matters. You must be at least 18 years of age.

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Lawgik immediately of any unauthorized use of your password or account.

2.3 Firm Accounts

If you register a firm account, you are responsible for administering all users associated with that account and ensuring all users comply with these Terms.

3. Subscriptions, Payments, and Billing

3.1 Fees and Payment

Access to Lawgik is provided on a subscription basis (Basic, Standard, Pro). You agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen subscription plan ("Fees") as they become due. All Fees are exclusive of taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities.

3.2 Billing Cycle and Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring (monthly or annual) basis. Your subscription will automatically renew under the same terms unless you cancel it at least twenty-four (24) hours before the end of the current billing cycle.

3.3 Refunds and Cancellations

All Fees are non-refundable, regardless of usage or cancellation date. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but you will not receive a refund for any prepaid portion of the Service.

3.4 Price Changes

OnebyZero Labs reserves the right to change the Fees for the Service upon thirty (30) days' notice, provided such changes will not apply to existing prepaid subscription periods.

4. Data, Accuracy, and Compliance

4.1 User Data Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the documents, notes, communications, and other content ("User Data") that you upload or create within the Service.

4.2 Data Accuracy and Third-Party Sources

The Service includes features that aggregate and sync data from third-party sources.

• Lawgik disclaims all responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data obtained from external services or other third-party feeds.
• You acknowledge that reliance on any information provided by Lawgik is at your own risk. The Service is intended to supplement, not replace, your professional duty to verify all case data directly with the relevant court or source.
• Lawgik makes no warranty that the Service will remain compatible with all third-party systems, and connectivity may be interrupted without notice.

4.3 User Compliance Obligation

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service, including the storage and processing of User Data, is in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including but not limited to:

• Attorney-client privilege and confidentiality rules.
• Data privacy and protection laws.
• Bar Council rules, professional conduct codes, and ethical obligations.

4.4 Data Backup

While Lawgik uses reasonable efforts to back up and protect data, we are not a primary data storage provider. We recommend you maintain copies of all User Data outside the Service.

5. Intellectual Property and Use Restrictions

5.1 Lawgik IP

The Service, including all software, code, design, logos (including the Lawgik and OnebyZero Labs branding), features, and documentation, is the exclusive property of OnebyZero Labs and is protected by intellectual property laws.

5.2 Restrictions on Use

You agree not to:

• a) License, sell, or commercially exploit the Service to any third party.
• b) Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, or decompile any portion of the Service.
• c) Use the Service to store or transmit any material that is unlawful, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
• d) Use any manual or automated software, devices, or other processes to scrape, crawl, or spider any pages contained in the Service.

6. Warranties and Disclaimers (Limit of Guarantee)

Lawgik makes no warranty that:

• a) The Service will meet your specific requirements or professional standards.
• b) The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• c) The results obtained from the use of the Service, including analytics or automated reminders, will be accurate or reliable.
• d) Any errors in the Service will be corrected.

7. Limitation of Liability (Financial Safeguard)

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OnebyZero Labs and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of:

• a) your use of and access to the Service;
• b) your breach of any term of these Terms; or
• c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, including without limitation any intellectual property, property, or privacy right.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Republic of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Kochi/Kerala in accordance with Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended).

10. Termination

OnebyZero Labs may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page or within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
